Keira is crawling!

Keira is crawling! She is 6 1/4 months old. I am so proud of her! Now she can keep up with all of her play group friends. She is the youngest in the group, and she always looks longingly at them while they move around and play with toys on their own.

Kelly and Matt's Wedding

Kelly and Matt got married this weekend! How lucky for them to have found love so young. The wedding was lovely -- It seems like they thought of every detail. Kelly was a beautiful bride!

Keira at 6 months

At six months, Keira weighs 16 pounds, 12 1/2 ounces and is 26.25 inches long. She is getting closer and closer to crawling every day and it sitting up pretty well on her own. She even sits in the high chair at restaurants with no problem.

Keira loves to wait by the living room window for Dad to come home. When she sees him, she squeals and waves her arms around! She also likes going on the swing in the back yard and going for rides in mom's new stroller. One of Keira's favorite things to do is go in the water. During bath time, she kicks her legs vigorously with a very focused and determined expression on her face. It's like she kicking is her job and it is very important. Every once in a while she will look over at mom and smile. "Look what a good job I'm doing, mom!"

Keira and Friends

Keira loves to have all of her little friends lined up and ready to play. Whenever Matt goes on a business trip he brings Keira a stuffed animal, so she has quite a collection now!

Beach Time

We took our first family beach trip this weekend: Duck Beach in Point Loma. It was a lot of fun! Duck beach is the perfect beach for babies and small children because it stays shallow for quite a ways out, and the water is very calm. Keira loved being in the water, and we stayed in until she was prune-y.
