At seven months, Keira is a real charmer! She is crawling and pulling up onto furniture, and has almost 4 teeth. She has a really big smile, and when we are out in public people always tell us that she is the "happiest baby in the world"!
Keira is definitely not a shy baby. She loves to be around other people, especially other kids and babies. She loves little girls. She also LOVES dogs. She knows all the dogs in our neighborhood.
Keira had her first fall this month, which left her with a scrape on her head. (You can see it in the picture below.) She fell from our hot tub deck down to some wood chips below. The deck was only about three feet high, and the wood chips were relatively soft, so it could have been much worse. I was really upset and had to call my mom for reassurance.
During this month, Keira also had her first trip to the emergency room. Keira's left eye was very red and swolen, and she seemed woozy and was acting strange. We thought that maybe she had been bitten by a spider because we had seen some brown recluses on our patio. Matt and I felt VERY silly because Keira was fine once we got there. The doctors and nurses were very amused about the "first time parents" bringing their baby in. Still though, Matt and I were scared because why would someone's eye swell up randomly? I have never seen Matt act so worried in his life. He was yelling at me to get out the door and then was angry that the emergency room was so far away, even though it was only a 5-10 minute drive.
