Eden's first St. Patrick's day and Keira's grey tooth

We did our annual St. Patrick's day photo shoot in the same spot that we always do.  This year it was fun to see baby Eden in Keira's old St. Patrick's day outfit.  The great thing about their birthdays being so close is that Eden can really wear all of Keira's old clothes - all of the seasons and holidays will be correct!  (Not that we have much in the way of "seasons" here in San Diego...)

Over the weekend, Keira's upper front tooth turned grey.  At first I thought it was just the lighting or that some type of food had stained the tooth temporarily -- but no, it was permanent.  I took her to the dentist on Monday (St. Patrick's day), and they said that it was likely due to some trauma and it could've happened anytime within the past year.  I was pretty upset at first, but really, it's just a cosmetic issue and Keira doesn't seem to mind at all.  It will stay grey until she loses it, and the adult tooth will probably (hopefully!!) not be affected (at least that is what the dentist told us).  I just hope she doesn't mind having a grey tooth in elementary school! She's got enough personality that I don't think it will affect her social life at all!

Matt made us green eggs for breakfast, which was fun, and then Keira went to school at MLC.  Her class when on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood, following clues until the found a pot of gold (gold rolos).  Fun!

A few days before St. Patricks's day, I walked by Keira's room to check on her and found her standing on her bed frame peeking out the window.  She only recently started sleeping in her big girl bed, so the freedom is new for her and she also seems to have a lot of fears.  I asked her what she was doing, and she said she was checking to see if an leprechauns were on the roof!  She said she didn't see any out there.  I asked her if she thought leprechauns were mean or nice, and she said, " They are nice but they are really sneaky.  They will sneak into your room at night while you are sleeping and give you a shot of blue in the foot."  I have no idea where she got this from!! All I can think is that they had been talking about leprechauns at school.  It was too cute and I hope to remember that moment for a long time!

Showing off her new grey tooth.

This girl's got BIG personality!!
